The clothes wash extremely well as they are 100% cotton drill. Nina wore them to plant up a show garden at the Chelsea Flower Show this year so they took quite a pounding - getting dirty every day and being washed every night - and they came out beautifully.
Not at all. In the warmer weather this is a much better colour to garden in, especially if you’re going for it with the digging.
If beige is not for you, our Classic collection of darker colours are perfect for the muddier months of the year.
The knee pads are lightly padded but not waterproof. Nina has found that the material is pretty good at resisting the damp though. In very wet weather we recommend using a kneeling pad too.
Absolutely, we are already in the design phase for our next range of clothing and other gardening items so watch this space!
The straps of the dungarees are 100% cotton. We deliberately took the decision not to include elastic as this is the first part of the garment to go and we want these to last you for years. We have found that after a little wearing and the first wash, the straps soften up considerably. We have also provided two different button settings. If you are particularly long in the body, you might prefer the trousers (or if you’re happy with a needle and thread, you could move the buttons to suit your exact body length).
